Lizzy - Membership Coordinator and Secretarial Team
My interest in helping people living with dementia stems from my mothers diagnosis, some 11 years before she died. I was introduced to RDAN via my involvement with Bingham Memory Cafe, & I am excited about the plans we have for the future. I love to cook & bake, and enjoy having a houseful. My free time is often spent walking with my dog & friends and travelling to see our children, often involving watching hockey!

Gwynneth - Chair
My background is in primary school teaching and then social prescribing – a career that has covered all age groups! More recently I have led a 2-year Dementia Project in Rushcliffe and now work across a bigger area (South Notts) with the aim of improving and developing the support that is available for people living with dementia.
I am passionate about the role of the community and promoting healthy relationships. For my own wellbeing, I enjoy pottering in the garden, checking my vegetables and flowers – and learning lots! Other than that, I play tennis, sing in a choir and make, eat and share cake with my family and friends (and a decent cup of tea!)

Alice
I am a Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coordinator at Edwalton Manor Care Home, where I design and deliver programs to enhance residents’ physical and mental wellbeing. As a dance practitioner with RESET Dance Co, I also lead movement wellbeing classes in and out of the care home, using dance to support mobility and emotional health. With a university degree in performing arts and personal experience caring for family members, I combine artistic expertise and a deep understanding of caregiving to enrich the lives of those I work with.

Layla
My name is Layla Anderson and I am the Community Project Coordinator at St Paul’s Community Wellbeing Hub, Wilford Hill.
My experience in setting up the hub and launching and managing our weekly Memory and Movement group has enabled me, with a large team, to build a community network with care, love and compassion at the heart of the vision.
I see the challenges for those affected by dementia on a daily basis and because of this I am in a position to be able to support, listen and signpost those in need to guidance and valuable services. No one should face dementia alone.
In my spare time I am a mum to two young boys who also manage to keep me busy!

Emma
Since 2014 I’ve been offering cognitive health support to people living with dementia, one to one sessions and creative group workshops. I work on research led projects with universities, and with groups in the community including memory cafes and care settings.

Sue - Secretarial Team
Susan Clayton is the volunteer curator at the Flintham museum which looks at rural life through the eyes of a village shopkeeper and concentrates on working with people who have dementia and their carers.
